Five most common mistakes people make when listening

We only believe the words: People often listen only to the words someone says, rather than truly hearing the essence of the message, which lies in the feelings and needs behind the words.

We think our opinion is the only correct one: We often believe our way of thinking is the only right one, making it difficult to connect with the feelings and needs of others. We also tend to think that our own needs are more important than those of others.

Reacting too quickly instead of listening: When someone is speaking, we often respond with advice, our own stories, or try to comfort the other person, rather than simply listening and understanding what they are trying to convey.
